Dr. Marie-Andree Nowlan, ND

Naturopathic Doctor & Clinic Owner

Dr. Marie-Andree Nowlan, ND is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and founder of Roots Naturopathic Wellness Centre. She works with women living with autoimmune and chronic inflammatory conditions who want to reduce flare-ups, regain energy, and feel more present in their lives instead of constantly managing symptoms.

She is the creator of the Beyond Autoimmunity™ Method, a structured clinical framework designed to investigate and address the underlying drivers of fatigue, inflammation, brain fog, and autoimmune flares. The method focuses on four key areas that influence immune activity: gut health, mitochondrial function, hormonal balance, and immune regulation.

Marie takes an investigative and research-informed approach to care, working with patients to connect the dots between symptoms, physiology, lifestyle, and environmental factors that influence inflammation.

This work is deeply personal to her.

After her own diagnoses with Psoriatic Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis, Marie experienced firsthand how overwhelming autoimmune illness can feel. She also saw how often symptoms are minimized or addressed in isolation rather than as part of a bigger picture.

Those experiences shaped the way she practices naturopathic medicine today.

Her “detective hat” is always on as she works with patients to understand the full landscape of their health and how these factors interact to influence inflammation.

Just as important as the science is compassion.

Many of the women she works with feel dismissed, overwhelmed, or exhausted from trying to piece together their health on their own. Marie strives to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and guided with a clear path forward.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: the body is not broken…it is responding to something. When those signals are better understood, it becomes possible to begin shifting the patterns that contribute to chronic inflammation and symptoms.

When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find her lifting weights, hiking, playing piano, drinking tea, crocheting or spending time with her husband, son, their 6 cats and German Shepherd.

Education and Credentials
Marie completed the four-year accredited naturopathic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, graduating with honours in 2011. Prior to studying naturopathic medicine, she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Pre-Medical Sciences at the University of Ottawa.

She has also completed additional training and examination to obtain prescribing rights in the province of Ontario. Marie is registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).

Dr. Vaidehi Patel, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Predictable, pain-free cycles are a reflection of internal balance. Dr. Vaidehi Patel, ND is known for helping women resolve hormonal imbalances, painful periods, and irregular cycles by addressing the root causes most treatments overlook.

Dr. Patel is an Ontario-based naturopathic doctor focusing on women's hormone health, with a clinical focus on painful periods, endometriosis, PCOS and PMS. With over 5 years in clinical practice and 500+ patients treated, Dr. Patel has helped women achieve predictable, pain-free cycles and steady energy — without relying on medication to get through the month.

Many of the women she works with are exhausted from being told their symptoms are “normal” — while dealing with debilitating menstrual pain, PCOS, irregular periods, fatigue, and cycles that feel completely unpredictable. They’ve tried birth control, painkillers, supplements recommended by wellness influencers and appointments with specialists who mean well but don't go deep, but nothing has created lasting change. They are frustrated, and quietly losing faith that anything will actually work. What they haven't had is a structured, root-cause plan built specifically around their hormones.

Dr. Patel is the creator of The Master Your Cycle Method™ — a structured, root-cause approach to hormone balance that integrates gut optimization, nervous system regulation, and hormone restoration. Her signature process moves through four phases: reducing inflammation and improving digestion (Calm the Fire Within), stabilizing stress and energy (Find Your Steady), optimizing hormone, thyroid and metabolic function (Own Your Cycle), and protecting long-term results through ongoing care (Protect Your Momentum). This step-by-step system is designed to help women regulate their menstrual cycle naturally, reduce pain, and build consistent energy without relying on symptom suppression.

She built The Master Your Cycle Method™ on one conviction: that a woman who has spent years being told her pain is "just part of being a woman" deserves a doctor who disagrees.

Master Your Cycle Method description:

The Master Your Cycle Method™ is a structured, root-cause system designed to help you achieve painful, irregular periods by addressing what’s actually driving your symptoms — not just managing them. Instead of guessing, we take a step-by-step approach: first calming inflammation and optimizing gut health, then stabilizing your nervous system and stress response, and finally restoring hormone and metabolic balance so your cycles become predictable, lighter, and far less painful. This is not a quick fix or a one-size-fits-all plan — it’s a strategic process that helps you stop planning your life around your period and start trusting your body again.
